2011 Big Artichokes

Life? Eat an artichoke. Spiraling toward the center, slowly. Discover. Savor. It's buttery. Bitter. Sweet. Oh no, a choke! Uuummmm, yes, the heart. And then the lingering sweet, sweet taste long after it's gone. --Robin Palley

Poetry to pass the time as we await spring

A few haiku

Late winter gusts
bluff 'spring will never come.'
Fie, a lie!

I eye the sky.
Thin branch with bud
Slices winter moon in two.

Sun outside the glass
pretends.
Still freezing out there.
